Attendance, Absences & Early Dismissal: Information for families
General Guidelines
- When to notify the school of an absence, early dismissal, or late attendance:
- As soon as you know — whether it’s a month in advance, a week in advance or first thing in the morning.
- Absences, late arrivals, and early dismissals can be reported by phone or email.
- Why Early Notice Matters
- Helps avoid delays in retrieving your student.
- Ensures your student is ready when you arrive — no waiting, no stress!

- Student’s full name & grade

When Picking-up Your Student:
- Wait in the front vestibule or in your vehicle.
- If you need to come into the building, DO NOT PARK in the parking lane in front of the building, as school buses and emergency vehicles need access at any given time. Please park in a parking spot labeled “visitor.”
- Allow time for us to locate and dismiss your student — there are several steps in the dismissal process.
- Students must sign out before leaving.
